I've got a few questions to ask so I thought I'd put them all into the same post to save clogging up the bbs with my crap
Firstly, I've found another dipstick on my engine - it's right next to the turbo:
What's it for?
Secondly, I've just fitted a Dawes but I didn't cut the pipe ideally - is the pipe too tight from the wastegate to the dawes?
I heard it's better not to have too much slack as this causes 'spiking' (what is that?) but it seems to be working ok (15psi peak boost).
Turdly, I removed my resonator ages ago but have just realised that I've left a big whole in the wing:
Is it best to plug this hole to stop hot air intake? There was a scoop into the hole originally but the bolt snapped off - is it worth trying to re-affix this, get some ducting, or just block it off?
Cheers, Jamie

Nice one Brun, I hadn't thought of that. Still not used to these flat four engines, everything's in the wrong place
One down, two to go!

Jamie,
It's the gearbox dipstick. From the first pic, the rubber hose to your intercooler looks loose. Loosen the clamp, lift the intercooler up from the back to ensure the entire "mouth" piece is full inserted before you tighten the clamp again.
