Default MAFless Hose

Should I be getting an alloy hose or some sort of samco equivalent?

Can't seem to find anything pre 00... Mines a 97.. Ideally not too extended from the turbo inlet pipe (assuming it cant be just jubileed onto that??)

Also planning on getting some flexi pipe and doing the whole cutting into my fog lamp cover thing for cold air ducting..... Any advice?

The pipe will depend on whether you're retaining your original air box or not. If you are going for a cone filter ossett's parts will work. If you are keeping the original air box then you will be left with a bit of a void where the 89mm maf housing currently sits, connecting the air box to the air box hose.

I've had this query too with my mafless V3 and it seems people either splash out on an alu hks maf housing (£80 last time I checked), made their own out of 89mm ID pipe or adapted a silicone pipe. Hope that helps! As it stands, mine is mafless but still has the MAF in place and I'll be DIY'ing a joiner pipe.

Op doesnt have the original airbox, just had a nosey on his build thread. Also running a FMIC so what I was going to suggest wont work. I'd go along with ossett2k2 and fit the S bend with a trumpet and cone filter. Thats what i did on a previous car. i may have pics somewhere...
