Default LD Performance DCCD Controller vs DCCD Pro?

Anybody used this?
https://ldperformance.co.uk/product/dccd-controller/

Cheap, British, fully programmable. Sounds fantastic for that price. What's the catch? Has anyone used one?

I'm currently looking at throwing a Type R DCCD box in my classic having found a box and 3.9 diff together. Eventually I probably will go 6 speed but don't run the power to warrant it right now.

If its a complete type r box it won't work you need a rear 4.44 diff. Different drop gears in the type r dccd box, there 1/1 not 1.1/1. Front and rear diff are 4.44
As for the controller Map DCCD is excellent.

Well upon further chat with the seller, the rear diff is a plated R180 and is a 4.44 but the front diff in the gearbox he says is a 3.9 so I would need a 3.9 R180 or at least a 3.9 CWP for it. I'm gonna start a new thread to try and get help with that.

Something fishy going on there. It can't be a type r box with a 3.9 front diff. Be careful what your buying boss.

The box was rebuilt by Teg Sport he says so I don't know, maybe it's been changed or maybe it's a normal box that's had a DCCD centre diff added to it while they had it apart?

TEG sport are very reputable but you need to find ot what you've got before you go any further. Whip the end off the box and see which drop gears you have then you'll know what diffs you need. Imho its handier to swap the front cwp to 4.44 than start messing with the lsd.

Could be a 95 or 96 Type RA gearbox.

Its very simple really but hard to explain. You need a 4.44 front crown wheel and a pinion shaft from type r box. Then as said you need to check your drop gears. It all bolts together easily. You just have to check a few tolerances in the diff and the pinion shaft.(preload)
