swirl pot question
hi guys
just a couple of questions regarding swirl pots
the first question might sound a daft one but its more me being lazy and wanting to do the least amount of work possible lol ,,, the classic currently has a 044 pump mounted inside the tank and I was wondering if I can just add another 044 (or sytec) pump to the swirl pot ,, or does the lift pump NEED to be smaller for any reason ?, or can I get away with leaving it in there lol
second question is the wiring for the new pump ,,, its going under the bonnet as the car has no fire wall so I will be looking for a pick up for the relay as would rather it wasn't running permanent and running like the pump in the tank
thanks for any advice guys

it's nearly 6 years since I did mine, memory lol, and on a newage so there will be some differences and this could be completely unhelpful.
I wouldn't have thought a big in tank pump would matter, excess fuel just feeds back via return to tank. You will find fuel pressure goes up with the external pump, so a good adjustable FPR with gauge is needed. The external pump is wired to fused relay which is in turn wired to live battery and earth. Relay points 85 and 86 are then wired to car fuel pump controller. In the newage it's sited in the offside rear wing, access through boot. In some classics the controller may be under back seat, offside, but that's as much as I know.

thanks mate ,, that is helpful cheers ,,, as I thought really just reruns more fuel than normal ,,,, still not sure about the relay control as the car was stripped out but someone else so might have to use the pick up by the p[ump and run a wire to the replay lol
much apprishated
