That is a Catalytic Converter logo. Please have them checked (downpipe and centre pipe) if there are still stock items. From the dash layout, that's an early model WRX. You've packed a lot of mileage on the car? maybe the cats have packed up ?
My 98 wagon runs catless and I have never seen the LED on that icon ever light up .

A solid rectangle with three curvy arrows pointed up is the demister (this is in workshop manual, if not in the owner's manual). Howeve, on my Japanese spec 98, I see another similarly looking logo except it resembles a centre cat (much like the outline of a burger) with the same curvy arrows.

That's not the cat warning. The Cat one is indeed like a burger with burst ends
Also, serious warning lights are always in RED not orange.
I had a weird orange warning light that kept coming on with my GTO and it was getting me worried. Turned out I was out of washer fluid???? There's a good use for a bleedin' bulb!!!!
I would say demister but as my car is off with the nice people (apart from the guy doing the work) at Subaru, I can't check in my manual.

Yes had a look today and it is the rear demist. Not that it matters much now though as I have just found out that I've lost my job and will have to sell my car to get by untill I can find another one.
