Can someone enlighten me as to what's required to keep the drivers side floor mat in place?

I had a crappy rivet thing attached to the mat when I got the car that wasn't in the hole near the boot/fuel cap cap cover release lever(s), plenty on eBay which also look crap & unsuitable so I am wondering if someone has a decent recommendation for one that works.
