Hi

I'm hoping someone can help as I understand quite a few parts on the Forester are interchangeable with the Impreza.

The centre pipe on my exhaust has rusted right through by the end of a silencer and needs replacing, but I'm having difficulty locating one online that looks like a direct replacement. I'm in no way a mechanic and have only recently started doing a few things myself on an old Mazda, but basically I'm clueless. The centre pipe I believe has a cat at the front end, then a silencer and then the pipe leading to the back box. Its a JDM S/Tb, and I've taken a video to help, so hopefully someone can point me in the right direction of what options I have or how to get a direct replacement. If this is catted, I don't want to go down the de-catted route.

The JDM SF5 Foresters use a similar "Turbo back" exhaust setup to the classic turbo impreza (upto 2000)

I have a Impreza 99 full exhaust on my 2000 Forester. If you got one from an Impreza, it is a few inches shorter. I had one extended just behind the backbox.

 

Saw back box on eBay driver extended for Forester.
