Default Is this standard? What's it from?

Hi all... Never seen this digital heater control before? It's on a classic Impreza, were they standard on some models? If so are they a straight swap for the dial ***** does anyone know? Any info appreciated.

You do realise this will only work with the corresponding JDM auto A/C unit that has electronic air flap actuators and not the standard wire cable operated ones fitted to a UK classic ??
