Question

Having recently bought my first Impreza(5 door), I have noticed a "sloshing" sound coming from what would appear to be the n/s of the car when coming on or off power. Am I hearing the fuel in the tank ?.I have checked the scutlle panel and both doors and they appear clear of water. I would be interested to hear from anyone with any ideas.

You sometimes hear a sloshing sounds, which is just the water circulating through the heater core. Never actually pinpointed a specific time that it happens, like on or off power. I just hear it now and again, sometimes i notice it, most of the time i dont.

I too can hear the sloshing noise. Its the fuel in mine. I hear it only when I park the car in the garage and then only when there is less than a full tank of petrol.

The sill is the panel below the door, connecting to the floor. The best way to find the drain holes is to use a mirror.Looking from the front wheel arch the first is approx.20cm back, just off the plastic sill trim, towards the center of the car. The other two are on the same line mid way back and one again 20cm from the rear arch.
