Found this crack the other day on my 03 blob sti. Its on drivers side ARB mount. Passenger side is ok. So is this the front subframe cradle needing replaced ? will this fail an mot ? how easy is it to replace ? Does the cradle bear the weight of the engine ?? or... just scrap it lol.

 

Anything up to an extent is fixable it’s all about wether you can justify the repair bill or not, take it to a competent garage for a quote and take it from there.

 

Lol a blob STI scrap. If it's the sub there's plenty of good nick ones forsale. Matty most likely has a unit full. I'd get it fixed. Or offer it to Matty as he buys them to break.

That's a minor scratch.. get it sorted..

 

Ok guys, thanks. Just ordered both cradle and U shape subframes from matty. Will get them powder coated then fit them. Av had the car for 13 years lol, didn't really want to say goodbye to it lol.
