Longer up pipe
is there any negative affect to having a longer up pipe ?
Im currently relocating my turbo to the area where my abs pump was and have fabbed up a new up pipe to allow for this , just wondered if for any reason this would have a negative result on boost ? Possibly longer spoil time ??
Cheers

From: on the computer.... obviously!
If it's the same diameter you won't notice any difference in spool with such a negligible change in length.
Up pipe and manifold design do make a massive differences in spool characteristics, but not with such a minor modification as yours.
The negative side would be having to alter the downpipe, oil hoses and water hoses. What's the purpose for the relocation, larger turbo?

That was my thoughts too , thanks for the info ,
yes larger turbo and either wing exit or bonnet exit exhaust so downpipe is not an issue ,
I am lobster backing all the pipework too so it won’t look like a hash job !
Thanks again for confirming
