I've just done the clutch via the engine out method and are refilled the system will coolant, I'm getting hot air in the cabin and to top rad hose is hot, the bottom 1 however is only luke warm, I was careful when filling the system but obviously don't it the incorrect way

Thanks from me too alcazar, iv been having problems with mine, was worried about hg, but was looks like it was an airlock, changed the stat and filled alcazar style and seems ok now.

I had hot air in cabin, luke walm bottom hose even after a hard drive. Now bottom hose if i pull over mid drive is quite hot also noticed temp was at 90 ish now sits at 83 on a sedate drive.

Iv always filled Up by disconnecting the coolant pipe from turbo and sticking a funnel into it, with rad and heater cap off. Never had any issues.

So what caps have to be off when doing this, both rad and header?

Start with them both off, once the rad has filled and now air escaping pop the cap back on. The header tank is higher than the rad so that’s the last to go back on. Remembered to regualarly give all the rad pipes a squeeze to force any air out.
Filling from this point allows the coolant to fill up from lower down, meaning you should get less chance of trapped air
