Default Axle stands

sorry if its been done a million times guys...

need the car on stands for a few month. Anybody know of issues with a stand and rubber pad been placed as pictured at the rear. Rear jacking points are a bit questionable so would rather somewhere else.

Seems fine to me as long as you pad it to prevent damage. However i usualy jack up on diff and put stands on standard rear points

I use the area where the rear trailing arms attach to the body, the axle stand cups the arm and it sits nice(depends what work you plan on doing while it`s on the stands)

If you use the area in the image, Id put the stand directly on the bolt head, so the weight is thru the bush, if you put the axle stand on the plate wrong, you risk bending that plate imo.

Same same here. Have an old v5 classic turbo which had shot jacking points so always jacked up on rear diff & went with stands on the trailing link to body (watch you don't pinch handbrake cable) . Even with my newer Scooby's I go here rather than using the jacking points with axle stands as the contact can brake the sealer/paint & start the rot.

I wouldn't go on the rear differential front member to the body as shown on your pict.

Cheers Paul .

thought about the trailing arm but never mind.

I have gone with the stand directly under bolt and it seems OK
