I have a VF28 and the bearings have just gone in it... Can I get it reconditioned or does it have to go in the bin? (Hopefully not)
If it does, what is a suitable/ similar turbo to swap it with? Would a TD05 do the job?

u can pick up a td05 16g pretty cheap. either FE converted or do it ur self or try a chinese one. they got good reps these days
