Default std 2.5 rods with arp bolts-what can they handle?

out of curiosity what can the std 2.5 rods with arp rod-bolts cope with power wise?

seen a few threads where people have re-used them and some say 350-380bhp and some say 400+bhp is fine.

Paul Finch said 380 on a thread recently... I'd be inclined to take his advice.

none mate, just seen a few that have had forged pistons fitted when doing a rebuild but kept the std rods which i thought was strange.

I was just going to say the same. I'd stick with Pauls advice of 380bhp tops.

380-400 nothing in the extra 20 horses deciding factor would be how much torque it's putting down at High RPM / so the figure adjusts itself accordingly . 380 BHP to assume the engine is in good health ..

I had a SCD 2.5 running 440/440 at 1.5bar on an sc46 ...... possibly not the best example as its dead now, but ran like that for years with road and track use and only died due to an unrelated issue envolving breathing a fair bit of fire extinguisher powder.

This was a nice rebuild with standard crank and rods and CP pistons.

Was a lovely road setup, its going to be a shame im having to replace it with a 207 for skinny wallet reasons.
