Default Engine light

Am I right in thinking its normal for the engine light to come on after a decat has been fitted? on my blob fitted all the decats the other day and no lights came on but on a longer drive to day it came on and is staying but drives fine.

A re-map is a good idea after de-catting so the mapper should be able to turn those lights off at the same time.

Yes.
But re-mapping after de-cat is vital. The ecu can't work out what is going on and you run the risk of over boost, running lean, premature detonation and engine death.

Apologies if I'm telling you how to suck eggs.
