Default VF49

Will the VF49 turbo be a straight swap/bolt on to my 2005 Legacy GT in place of VF38? Im just looking at some power mods and heard that the VF38 are prone to reliabiltity issues when getting more power out of them. What are other good bolt on turbo options. Im not after huge power maybe somewhere up to 300whp.

The 49 has a different compressor outlet arrangement to the 38
