Default Error codes C0072, C0075, C0076

Hi Guys, just been lurking about for a while, but I have an issue I hope someone can shed some light on.
I've had a 2008 STI for about a year now and since I bought it it has had the hill assist light shown on the dash (orange car with a line through it).
There's no other issue with the car whatsoever so I haven't rushed to fix it, don't really care about the function tbh, but it's a feature of the car and I'd like it to work, and the light to be off for once!
I know there's a way to turn the function off/on (heard it doesn't work for the 2008 year) I've tried anyway and it's not fixed it.
I've also tried an ECU reset with the battery. The engine has been out the car already once (it's a 2.5 after all!) So I know it's not that.
I read the error codes on the dash using the ignition trick and I get the codes - C0072, C0075, C0076
Done lots of searching and found nothing conclusive, so hope someone can tell me more before I go to a dealer.
Thanks guys!

If these are genuine Subaru codes they relate to the
VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL (VDC) and would seem so as your VDC warning light is on.

C0072 - Yaw Rate Sensor Communication/Yaw Rate Sensor Output

C0075 - Reverse Signal

C0076 - Clutch Signal

or is it this one??

the Hill start assist is part of the VDC system

Thanks for the reply! I already know more than I did now. But it's 100% the hill assist light, oddly enough all functions of the VDC are fine
C0072 - Yaw rate sensor - I'm totally lost here
If C0075 is reverse... That makes sense, the reverse light doesn't work but I can NOT be bothered to change the switch
C0076 Clutch, well it's keyless and I have to start with the clutch pressed - this functions fine. Also pressing the clutch disables cruise control. Don't know what else would be there...

Seems it's about time you got it checked out at the Dealer with SSM.

I feared that would be the case, guess I'll bite the bullet and go see them.

Edit: £120 they want for the pleasure too! Great

Hey saintjimmy4 did you ever get the issue sorted? My 08 STI Hatch has a similar problem... (Hill assist and Traction control lights on... no reverse lights)
