Default Sti Engine swap

Guys just a quick question. I know this has been asked a thousand times before!! Ive been looking at simialr threads but everyone say something different. My quesion is as follows... Ive a 2002 wrx that needs a new bottom end. Ive got sitting in my garage a 2004 sti bottom end ( no heads ). will this bottom end bolt on to my wrx heads and pop the engine back in without any other mods needed? thanks in advance!

Id also find out why the bottom end went, so it doesnt happen again.

+1 last thing you want to do is swap blocks and it happens again

They all go eventually, tired and worn out usually. I'd be putting new bearings in the second hand sti one....

doubt it, just make sure the gasket thickness is correct

Yeah mate they are. When I was looking at getting a new bottom end was told by reputable tuners to get it done or at the very least a map check

These parts all wear differently and no 2 engines are the same. Was told this about turbos as well even when thinking of going from like to like
