Urgent help required!!!!
Hi guys new to the forum
So if this is in the wrong section then don't grill me please, I have a bit of an issue with my 1996 impreza wrx ej20g tdo5 gf8 wagon.
Today I pulled up outside my house for the 'cool down' period and noticed my boost gauge was reading 0 instead of -20 and I though hmm not good so I opened the bonnet and heard a hissing from near the turbo.
And I noticed the T junction which my boost gauge was plummed into by the previous owner was a vacuum pipe under the turbo area from what looked like a small mini actuator? So I went in the garage grabbed a new plastic T as the one on the car had snapped. Replaced the T and pulled on the pipe and the vacuum pipe came off in my hand... from the Shape of the pipe it looks like it either goes under the turbo or to the inlet manifold? I have no idea but now i have a major boost leak and my boost gauge won't work. Any help on where this pipe goes would be a God send as I have took off the strut brace, induction kit, intercooler, and most pipes and still can't see where it goes. Its really thin black pipe and is definitely a vacuum of some sort and is about 10 cm long. I'm hoping one of you gurus can shed some light on my dyer situation.

thanks for the help and input lads but both of those pics resemble nothing as to what is going on under my bonnet. where does the pipe from pic number 1 go dom? pipe number 19. that's the closest thing I have seen to the pipe I have in my hand. does it go under the turbo somewhere?? I have been out side since 7pm tonight and cant find where it goes.. I think im goin end up taking some pics tommow in the day light so everyone know what im on about. I know the boost solenoid in pic 1 is the same shape as mine so it must be on the right path. the pipe I have is a `s` shaped pipe and definitely came from somewhere under or near the turbo. and in all honestly I don't really want take off the turbo just for a sodding vacuum hose

The end at the bottom went on the T and the other somewhere under the turbo????
This is the T for the boost gauge which the mystery pipe connects to.

As said the short blue pipe above is connected to the FPR (strange place to tap for a boost guage) and the pipe you have spare is item 1 below which originally connected to a short metal pipe and hose item 2 to the inlet manifold
Also it looks as if the long blue pipe below is currently connected directly from manifold to waste gate, not via your boost control valve.
All in all a bit of a dogs breakfast.
Looks as if you will need to remove the turbo inlet pipe to see what's what.

Well your right it is a stupid place to tap into for a boost gauge. But after buying a inspection mirror from machine mart and stripping everything down 'again' I managed to find the 1cm long metal nipple right underneath the inlet manifold that lead to a metal pipe. And that was the one I needed. I have done away with the standard black pipe and gone for a blue silicone hose instead. She's boosting just fine now and boost gauge is working as it should.
Just wanted to add a big thanks to all that got involved and helped out.
