Default What are these moretts worth?

I'm thinking of selling my moretts but not sure how much to ask?
They have the original cibie lamps, unfortunately the reflector/lenses are starting to rust and one of the inner glasses is cracked, the frames are in good condition.

Hmmm yeh might do that
Probably one of the things I would regret if I sold them.

I've got a few bits to sell when I clean the garage out so might just hold on to them for now

Keep em, tidy them up and fit em, a lot brighter than stock lamps IMO and give a slightly aggressive look if that's your thing.
The full beam is awesome if road car also

Looking good busta, are they the hella lamps you have in there?
Standard lights are pretty pants so would defiantly serve a purpose if I use the moretts, and the more I see them the more I love the look.
I've got a few parts lying around in the garage so was just going to sell everything and get some cash together, but since these aren't worth much then I probably will use them,I'll be keeping an eye out for some replacement lamps.

Rich don't do it, really don't like morretes on a classic, always think they look abit tacky, standard lights are pants in brightness but must be abetter way to improve brightness.

Sell them and spend else where on the car.

Everyone has their own opinions and tastes, if he wants them then leave him be
I've a set on my car and the difference over standard lights is incredible - especially if your car is pre99 without the crystal headlights!

Rich can put what he likes on his car, but it doesn't hurt trying to wake him up to how awful they look.

I guess the only thing to do is get some new lenses, paint them up and fit to see how they look in the flesh.
As they're probably worth very little as they are then they'll get thrown back in the garage until I can sort them out.

I actually see what you mean now, thats why they call them a 3d honey comb grille or whatever. Never paid any attention tbh.

+1 for pants, never liked them myself, I get it for big power air intakes and the trumpet but as a "Look" always thought it spoiled the car, each to their own.

Nope, they are another set for sale!

Just like waiting for a bus, I waited 6 months to find a set of Morettes, found none. Then Rich's set appeared here, I bought them for £150 delivered, basically only the frames are okay, all the lamps are corroded. I did get some 80/100W bulbs and an intake trumpet included. I knew all this before I bought, so still happy. I'll need to respray them and buy new outers for £30 (not fitting inners).

Then on the same day I recieve them this new set appear on Ebay, frames in same condition but with 4 new condition lamps, for £200 (with offers) + £10 delivery. I could have bought those and sold the inners for £60-£75 posted!

So if you are looking for a set, the Ebay ones are a steal!

Glad you received them ok Alistair

The ones on eBay have cheap valeo lamps(£20) even corroded cibies fetch more(maybe the reflectors can be renovated?),and the outers are hella(£50)

After £35 postage(lots more than I expected!) and pp fees I ended up with £110.
Always best selling stuff the old fashion way I guess.

Cheers
Rich
