Default Self service or garage ?

Hey all,
Had my 2007 hawkeye STI engine fully built around a year ago, took around 6 months for the build (long story on another thread) so only been back on the road around 6 months, very few miles, the odd weekend and the odd evening here and there. Going to give it a service soon. Nothing major just oils and filters, probably doesn't need one but for the log books sake (and the fact I just want to get back under the bonnet) I will and that brings me to my question, what is he best way of doing this ? Paying a garage to do it just to get a stamp in the book or service it yourself and just make a note. Never been in this situation before so unsure of the best route.
Cheers for your help

Oil,plugs, filters etc I would do yourself tbh, just keep receipts and a note to say you've done the service.
A stamp from a garage would maybe add to the resale value when/if you come to sell the car but I wouldn't have thought it would make a big difference.

lovely, cheers for the info. I'll just do it myself and make a note of everything. Usually keep all receipts etc for the car anyway. At the end of the day I bought the car to enjoy, not worry about resale value
