Is this a short shift?
Just picked up an 05 widetrack and the shifter feels rather tight.
I'm assuming it has a short shift kit fitted.
Does it look like one?
If so, anyone have a standard shifter?

The first pic is what I have now.
The second pic is a standard one that I have been offered. Mine looks to have another arm attached to it. What is it?

Your first pic shows the 'lift for reverse' cable attachment which is the main difference between 6sp and 5sp, the other pics don't seem to have this, but doesn't look like the 5sp I am familiar with on my newage WRX either.
Not being familiar with the 6sp I can't be certain, but from a quick google, the Perrin 6sp short shifter just replaces the ball joint section at the bottom of the gearstick and no sign of any sleeves at the base of yours to reduce the length of the stick
