I don't wish to mention the bleeding obvious...but nonetheless it must be asked first: have you actually removed the bulb to check it?

haha,

yes a friend of mine who works for the RAC had 5 seconds to check that and the bulb itself works fine,

the fuses that are supposed to be for the rear fog (NO.10) looks fine also and i swapped it to check.

im not sure what relay is supposed to be for the rear fog as all the pics i can find are for WRX's not STI's and are all talking about front fogs.

Cheapest and easiest thing to check first, is to get to the terminals of the back of the switch, and check all 4 connections. Then go from there.

just had a mechanic look at it... couldnt figure it out, pulled back up at work pressed the button out of frustration and it turned on -_-

god knows, i think it must be a loose connection somewhere. I just hope it keeps working long enough to get my MOT certificate in the morning.

Probably a faulty button then. This does happen sometimes.
