Ive just been to have a tyre on and while i was there i had a nosey under the car and the lad there has had afew imprezas bla bla bla and he says if i remove the middlesection silencer then it will make my car sound 10x better now im after some actual advice if this is true or if it will sound like those tinny crappy raspy sounds you hear on some imprezas. Personally i like a deep burbly sound i have atm but if it will be louder without the silencer then i may go for it.

Currently its a 3" janspeed cat back system with a decat pipe before it.
