Hey all. I'm shortly returning to the UK after a couple of years in Oz. I'm bringing back with me an Australian Market Hawkeye STI.

As part of the registration process I need to get the speedometer converted from kmh to mph.

I can't seem to find much info on how to do this and what needs doing. I've seen something on the US forums that involves putting some sort of resistor in line but again the info on this is very limited.

Can anyone give any pointers on what to do or where to go to facilitate this?

Can't you get a converter box to go in between the gearbox loom to clocks (location top of box in engine bay)

 

Something like this, as busta says it wires into one of the connector blocks on top of the box
