Default vf36 turbo?

I have this currently on my hawkeye sti spec c type ra. Its pushing our 360bhp with a remap, full decat and panel filter.

Can this turbo be pushed further? and is it worth it?
I read that some serious porting? maybe a full turbo rebuild with superior parts would help to achieve the extra power. Or is far easier to to just buy a new lichfield turbo thats rated past 400bhp.

Please advise.
Thanks

I wouldnt bother just go for an upgrade at that level the VF36 runs out of puff thats what I ended up doing with my old spec-c ra and was well pleased.

When I had it it was a litchfield hybrid twinscroll the one that Shaun should have had before he went bigger on his engine on mine it ran 398/415 on 650 injectors I dont own the car now but found you could hang the engine in gear longer on long straights on track without having to change up then down again for the corners if you know what i mean it didnt run out of puff higher up the rev's like the oem vf36 did.

Are you happy to SC42..? Hard to decide between SC42 billet and Chevron hybrid VF turbo.. Main thing is how driveable it is.. Also SC42 billet twinscroll has been for sale for a while and I think that there should be better choices now..? Thats why Chevron hybrid is very interesting.. they also rally with same turbo but it is expensive.. so hard choices to make..

When you say expensive how much is expensive? As after I got the price the sc turbo I thought that was on the higher end of the scale

"The full race spec turbo we have won all the sprints with is about 500 Bhp on race full and 450bhp on pump fuel! We do two specs full spec with steel cage bearings etc ~ £ 2000

Journal Bearing version ~1600

+ vat

"it will spool faster than the stock vf36 we run them about 1.8 bar they will not hold 2 bar and it is a full twin scroll! We have won the lmr sprint 4 year running with this set up aganst some cars around 700 PHP"

And I need to get old VF36 there..

Mamba turbo gt3071r twinscroll, 1.5 bar, just Vpower. Made good power for £700 pound turbo. And still more power in it with meth & alittle more boost.

Should have it by next week hopefully... Plan is to see what it'll make to begin with on sti tmic and induction... This is hopefully in the next few weeks depending on how busy I am at work. Really don't want to go fmic what do you think would be the best to get the most out the turbo? Oh and staying 2.5 exhaust too
