hey guys, I have a 04 jdm Wrx sti and brought the jdm spec nur spec r catback exhaust. This should be a standard fit right ?, but once i took it to the garage to try and fit it on, it turns out that the centre pipe was too long around 10-20 mm too long and was over lapping the cat. Has anyone else had a problem like this or know what to do.

Any help would be great thank you .

 

You need the classic centre pipe mate as I had both centre pipes present and the newage was to long as it's for the uk downpipe and used the classic one or cut and reweld?

 

so the classic midpipe is smaller than the jdm and eu/uk blitz spec ?

 

What you have there is a mid pipe for a uk newage single down pipe I used a newage back box, classic mid pipe, milltek decat downpipe the uk mid pipe was too long to fit on

 

But shouldnt the jdm version of the nur spec r fit link onto the cat, as the eu one is for the bigger cat and jdm for the smaller cat. As mine is a import i got that. I will swap it for the classic and see if that fits if not i wont know what to do lol as dont really want to cut it.

 

I think there are only 2 mid pipes made mate the classic and newage then you have the hatches etc, I've cut and reweld oon my previous ones but ask if they will swap the mid section I was lucky as Brian @ cams performance had both middle sections for the blitz nur spec or else I would have had to cut and shut myself mate not a big job if your handy with a welder let us know how you get on

 

Took it too scoobyworld tried the eu version and fit perfectly , so happy I've finally got it on lol.
