Blouch 18gxtr same as sc42?
Hi,
Is the sc42 the same as a blouch 18gxtr? I.e. is it a roller bearing turbo?
Cheers,
Chris.

No, it's the 20GXT-R which is same as sc42. But the sc42 have a 7cm housing as the American versions direct from blouch seem to have only the 8cm or 10cm housing options.
Seems that scoobyclinic have either modded the housing for a smaller one or ordered them like that.

Thanks for that,
Just ordered the blouch 18gtxr with 8cm housing, should be reasonable power (rated at 430bhp) but with good spool.

Anyone have any experience of the 18gxtr with a 8cm exhaust housing?
Cheers,
Chris.

Lol, I don't think that 1cm would affect spool that bad, and make it a 440 rated turbo.
Oh I know why, don't want it affecting the 46 sales
I see that 35 9 blade is pretty impressive regards to spool for a big blower

the 35 9 blades are doing awesome stuff, near on 700bhp on 20% meth from a 2.1, and over on a 2.35 with race fuel.
sc46 now come with a 9 blade too if required, seen 476 from one on a hawk build we did on v power!!
to give you an idea how well the sc42 works, we sold 5 within a week, the demand is so high its untrue!!

The gtx 11 blade compressor wheel turbos are generally laggier but make more power up top and need more boost

I've had an 18g built using an extended tip billet wheel with 5/5 blades, looking forward to seeing what it can do
