Hello, I'm looking to change my v2 from top to front entry turbo, other than the turbo itself can anyone advise me what else I would need as I hear that they provide much better flow compared to the 90 degree bends in the v1-2 set up,

Any help much appreciated as I'm looking to have a turbo built soon! 😃

 

Guessing it's a TD05? You can buy front entry compressor housings and just swap them over. Or modify your existing housing but cutting it off a welding it back on.

 

It's more the induction, I'll be having a turbo built to cope with anti lag just need to know what parts from a v3 i need to go on my v2, is it as simple as buying a front entry and induction v3 induction hose?

 

Are front entry manifolds different/ taller? Will a front entry turbo inlet fit under a top entry manifold?
Which leads to the question..... Will a front entry manifold fit under a V1/2 bonnet?

 

Early manifolds don't havee swoop to go over inlet hose, so you'll need to with spacer your inlet or fit a later manifold, which brings its own set of headaches.

 

Ok cool thanks for the help guys, ill have a loom for some spacers, can I not squeeze a silicone induction hose under the v2? Being that they're flexible and I'm mafless so it saves a lot of space?

 

Why not just commission a new inlet hose from SFS to cope with the front entry. That's what I had in mind to run a VF34 on my V2.

 

That sounds better, does that cut out all the 90 degree bends as that's my main concern, trying to improve flow as the v2 is full of corners, do you have a link to that hose I'll have one if that's guna solve it

 

You'd have to specify the dimensions, hence commission. I have seen it done but can't remember if it was on here or Nasioc. Was going to be a project for me, you can't buy it off the shelf, but I reckon its better than rebuilding the turbo You can't eliminate the bends though.
