So I bought a Perrin short ram (my research said this was the best option due to the placement of the maf). However it seems they only work with no issues on un-mapped cars? My Bugeye is running a nice Bob Rawle ecutek map, hks filter, headers, de-cat, full stainless and fuel pump etc. Fitted the Perrin kit, started fine and ticked over fine, took her out and seemed to drive fine?? Then as soon as I drop to low revs like stopping for a junction it would just cut out?

I am told that as it is pulling more air in than the standard box and hks filter would do it upset the ecu??? Anyway put standard box back on and for a short period of time it did the same. If then sorted itself out with no problems at all with standard box on.

So seems I will need a map tweak to sort the problem but I just wondered how much more air the kit will be pulling in to upset the ecu like that??? I thought the ecu might be able to compensate especially as the maf is in same place etc?
