Default Brand New Turbo Issues.

I am having problems with my newly built Motors Turbo. The Engine is fully forged and built by a very reputable Engine builder in the Subaru world. The problem I am having is that I have Oil coming from the bottom of my Brand new Turbo along with Oil in the Intercooler pipework. The Car is running 410Bhp on a fairly conservative map. The Engine has an RCM 3 port baffled Oil catch fitted and a leak down test result of 3-4% on average, is it possible this could be a faulty turbo all be it only a few weeks old? cant think of any other possibilities.

Is your oil return fitted with tight clamps? Could be coming from there?

I have just been looking at the Turbo from underneath the Car with an Endoscope and its seems the Oil is coming from between the Turbo Cartridge and the Turbine (Exhaust Side) housing. This obviously isn't normal, dose anyone think this could be directly related to the Oil found within the Intercooler Pipework?

Could be blocked oil return or the wrong restrictor in the oil feed, id take it back to who ever fitted it and get it checked out soon as.

What is the make / model of turbo you have? I have first hand experience of a certain make that has proven faulty with dire consequences.

if you have oil in the intercooler pipes and you are not venting the engine back into the intake, it can only come from the comressor side of the turbo. The normal thing to happen is it doesn't leak under boost as it under positive pressure, but when you lift off and create a vacum it will pull oil through. Any smoke on deceleration? Take the boost pipe off from the turbo outlet and see if it's oily in the compressor housing.
