Lightweight Crank pulley
for a classic, any real gain in fitting them ?

says goes from 2kgs of standard down to 440 grammes for this one, a nightmare job waiting to happen just for no gain or worth doing ?
cheers

Ive fitted one purely for show and as the engine is already out it was no drama. i dont think there is any gain to be had but at a competive level combined with lighter flywheel etc then every little helps.
The one u listed is smaller then oe , If you are to get one I would get one of the same size and from a reputable company too as a poorly balanced unit could have a negative effect on the engine.

Or at least read up on why quality damped pulleys are a good idea.

I'd like to got an ati one but st like £250 it's a no no
I've not heard bad stories about the cheap pulleys, granted they may not offer full benefit of light pulleys but at more than half a weight saving they should be better than stock ?
