Default FMIC - condensation?

The new Focus RS has a partial blanking plate on one end of the front mount intercooler. The suggestion is that Ford found that condensation was forming inside the cooler under certain conditions, indicating that the cooler was, in those conditions, 'over performing'
It would be interesting to know if anyone has ever considered this on big FMIC installations or what the tuners thoughts on this are?

would 'over performing' mean too low ACT's in cold weather conditions ?
If it caused puddling of the excess moisture that might be a worry.

Maybe in warm humid condition the moisture in the air would condense on the cold walls of the intercooler. Can't see it being problem in the uk.
