Default PSI3 Data Monitor issue

Hi,

As per title my PSI3 is playing up.

It was working fine yesterday and this morning when I got into the car it didn't turn on upon starting the car - like it normally did.

When I pushed a few buttons it came on, did its normal start up and then said 'goodbye'

I was a little confused so I unplugged it and tried again, I did come on but all of info/gauges seemed to be frozen and didn't reed the data as such then after a while it done the whole 'goodbye' thing again.

I am going to go home and unplug the battery to see if that does anything, anyone else have any ideas?

Thanks,
Matt.

Well I tried most things and no luck.

Tried:

Unplugging from the rear of the unit and back in - no luck.
Removing the wires from both ends of the lead and reconnecting - no luck.
Disconnecting the battery to reset the ECU - Still no luck.

It is being sent to Simon at Auwell tomorrow, hopefully have it back up and running in a week or so.

Matt.

Mine started to display total gobblegook in cold weather. OK when it warmed up.

Mine was beginning to do that but as you say once heated up its fine, though today it just decided it had enough, the display is working perfectly, though it just doesn't want to play ball any more

Simon is also going to see about changing the colour of my display, would like it to be green to match in with the clocks etc - currently yellow, so price depending it may come back green too

the old ones do this in the cold weather,
Have you checked the 12v switched live is working ok, if there is no power and you start the car it does what you have suggested.

I've checked all the wires and they seem to be ok. I will upload a few pictures and a video I took.

Ok, heres the video that shows what the issue with the unit itself is: http://vid1340.photobucket.com/album...psv69bk8y2.mp4

Then the pictures of the wires I had a fiddle with: http://i1340.photobucket.com/albums/...psxcd483d1.jpg

I then checked the connection to the other end, all looked good:

The little monitor has been removed and is now in the post, en route to Auwell. I will update once I hear back

Hi!

Did you ever receive your monitor back from Auwell. Are they able to fix them?

Thanks

Hi,

Yes they fitted a new screen for me. Can’t remember the price as it was so long ago.

Cheers,
Matt.
