Default auxiliary belts (2006 Hawk WRX)

Hi all,

probably been asked a million times but I cannot find any solid info on it.. my WRX has two auxiliary belts coming off the crank. Are both belts the same so I need to order 2x the same part?

Been hearing a bit of a squeak recently and power steering becomes a bit juddery so think the belt is slipping. cheers.

I will order some new belts as the ones on there feel very rough and past their best. I guess I should also check the cambelt and consider that as well.

I have been considering some lightweight pulleys as well so perfect excuse for new belts.

cheers for replies.

This might be of use when you get round to replacing the alternator/ps belt:

I've had a similar issue - new belt installed in Apr as part of the service, but then started to get noisy from cold start in Nov ...

Just watched the video.. Love the fact he is wearing a really vile 70's tie while doing it lol.
I will tighten mine up later when I get home from work but new belts ordered as if I do get alloy pulleys best to fit new ones.

cheers.

Yeah the tie made me chuckle too. Would've made an interesting video if he'd caught it in a pulley.
