Default which internals

Right would like a bit of advice my ej22t is at the machine shop being checked over and it's now time for me to start buying some internals do I go 2.5 nitride or billet crank what rods and pistons do people recommend. Or buy a kit like lateral produce. I'm running a lateral 2.1 atm been great for years running 500bhp but want to build a 2.35 running about 600bhp any advice would be much appreciated.

Got ya mate it's just there so many options now can mix and match parts or but a complete kit. Also we sort of built my 2.1 engine bought it as a complete short motor from lateral run it for about 5000 miles then for some reason I got all paranoid about it only having 11mm head studs so took it all apart so my mate could do a 14mm head stud conversion then we rebuilt it with new bearings and rings done 19000 faultless miles since paranoia does mad things to people lol

Worth noting mahl pistons have a large bore clearance and are noisey till up to temp, great Pistons but if quiet is your thing might wanna go wiseco ect.

IMHO, Mahle's are a very good and quiet piston even when you run them at the top end of the recommended clearance's be it the 4032 or 2618 grade pistons.

I am running wisecos at the moment.
But for me Mahle have been the most quiet piston I have run in a forged engine. Personaly I rate them.

My forged 2.5 hawk had these and was built by finch Motorsport who are one of the best engine builders around, and it was noisey as ****, piston slap was very noticeable until engine was right upto temp and even then u could still here them sounded like an escort diesel unless u had the temp up to 90c +.

The receipt for the build says they are genuine Mahle forged Pistons so I'm hoping they were lol. Not sure on if they were 4032 or 2618 grade. All I know is they sounded like Michael flately was under the bonnet

My Omega pistons in a forged 2.5 I ran were just like that. Noisy as hell and then once you got loads of temp into them they expanded and at high revs sounded as sweet as.
