Does anyone know if the air con pump on the 96 impreza will spin up if there is no refrigerant in the system. I am sure some pumps will spin up but not produce cold air while some simply won't spin.
I don't want to spend the money filling the system (it is completely empty) on filling it to find the pump has died.
