Default C55 amg

Hey people just a chat finally selling the scooby and getting a c55 amg I test drove it last week and it blew my mind how fast it is just wondering on your views of straight line speed and 0-60 figures I'm no it won't be as good round the corners but I'm only into over taking and straight line speed I think mabey my Impreza would keep with it to 60 but surely the merc would leave it for dead after that? Mines a 1998 Impreza turbo wagon uk spec

Will leave a 98 turbo 2000 for dead. Awesome cars, I'd love one, Knew somebody that had one, went through tyres every 3k (didn't drift) supposedly pretty common.

Brakes failed twice (both at high speed and ended up going through a red light twice)

Car was under warranty he was the first owner etc MB couldn't replicate the fault to fix it and the car got sold.

Buy a warranty.

I saw one do a 12.6 sec 1/4 mile at santa pod which is good for a heavy car, I've no idea if the car had been tweaked but as said wouldn't come close to a well specced classic.

Its not as heavy as you think the whole block is alloy i think the scooby would keep with it to 60 mabey 80 but after that the merc would **** off cant get away from a 5,4 with 510 tourqes

in relation to the classic it's a heavy car, a classic Scooby (12-1300kg) running good power would be a second faster on the quarter, the merc would be faster after 120 but not before.
