Default Eeejit questions from a noobie.

Ok, I'm sure these questions will, have been asked a number of times but I'm buggered if I can get the search to work so here goes.
Low miles, 95 Impreza Turbo (motor) has a VAST airfilter and a Bailey valve, ran fine when removed.
Now it's got a completely new, decatted exhaust with (virtually) no restriction other than length. Plus a bigger, remote mounted intercooler. Other than that it's still stock.
Do I NEED to get it rolling road tuned and remapped?
If so, how much? Where? What can I expect in KW terms? Is there anything else that I should do?
Again apologies for stuff that's bound to have been asked before but search just doesn't turn up anything useful.

yes it will overboost with unmapped decat. run lean and do engine damage.
it can be either mapped on road or rr.

loads of choices of mappers on here do a quick search id budget up to £500 but may be cheaper.

Yes you will need to remap for those mods. You will need an aftermarket ECU or ESL board to make your car mappable.
Is it an import wrx/sti ? Don't think they did a 95 UK turbo, might be wrong tho?

Nice looking waggon
Will be 215ps standard, you should expect close to 280-300ps with a good remap on those mods. My94-98 Impreza all need standalone ECU or my choice ESL Big Bang for buck

Thought a "P" plate was a 97 car anyway?

One of my mates had a 94 UK Turbo.

Both my p reg have been built in 96 but both MY97 so you might be right that all p reg are MY97
As for a 95 UK I stand corrected

Not much left of it now.
On the plus side I gave away all the bits I didn't need to local Scooby enthusiasts.
