Question Twin Scroll Headers... off eBay

I know eBay is one of the last places to go to for parts, but...

I need a set of headers as I've cracked mine and had it welded up, but would like a nice undamaged set.

Getting hold of them isn't easy so was just wondering if anyone had an opinion on the following:

Name: ex_zpsraplxm9w.jpg
Views: 0
Size: 69.6 KB

link to ad on eBay

Thoughts?

so much development and testing goes in to the top brand headers, so I guess cheap ebay jobbies will never be as good... but to loose bhp, now that's not fun!!

Wouldn't bother with ebay ones or the wms ones. I have the wms ones on mine n slip joints are leaking. Cheap headers jst like ebays ones.

I contacted wms but they said they only do single scroll.

leaking slip joins isn't good! I know there needs to be some movement and thought the ebay ones would be ok with the flexi pipe.

I would love the RCM ones, but my budget wont let me spend £700+ for them

Aren't the standard twinscroll headers suitable for your application?

I guess you get what you pay for. You know that RCM test to levels of extreme brilliance. Whatever you buy from there is worth the money for the parts and the research gone in to producing them

There isnt much "development" in the RCM/GTspec ones etc, the RCM ones are copies of the GTSpec/Tomei manifolds, its a very old design that hasnt changed in years....

I read up on the tomei headers and found a place in USA that supplies them but they didn't have a price, I guess that means ££££ lol

They put **** loads of research into the tomei ones so if therm are simply copies but copied well then I can't really argue with that.

Honestly, you'll be hard pressed to beat the flow of OEM twin scroll headers. I would only be changing mine if I were going big boy power.

OEM twin scroll headers and up pipe are by far the best ... which is why I use them on my own car :-)
