standard prodrive map shouldn't be too out of whack with the cats out - it's still pretty rich. As above do your best to keep it out of boost - if your having trouble unplug the boost solenoid (you'll likely have codes on for the cat/rear o2/EGT anyway so what's one more into the mix). Unplugging the boost solenoid will leave you at wastegate pressure only so about 7-10psi or so.
When you get to the mappers plug it back in as they'll be clearing all the codes and whatnot anyway.
It's about 40 miles on motorway, hopefuly there won't be any german boy racer otherwise I may struggle to keep off the boost ��

When my waste gate acutator failed (leaked at the joint to plenum) I used a manual controlled boost limiter and that jammed and before I could blink for a second ! I had nearly 3 bar at 5000rpm , It blew a ring land ( Kinguwa waste gate controller was stuck in customs ).
So I have just finished rebuilding the engine.
Its foolish to risk more than 3500rpm, (just on boost) but your still doing over 70mph assuming you know where 5th is so you will be fine.
However you might like to take the wise advice already given and take the pipe off the solenoid. Better safe than doing an unplanned rebuild.
Silly question, but why don't you drive there and fit the de-cat exhaust just before you begin the mapping session? Unless it's the whole exhaust system then I understand why you might not be able to do it on the side of the road lol
i'd be 100% more cautious on a JDM car vs a UK ppp one. If it's still running the stock JDM map they are very aggressive on timing so any slip ups could cost you. Don't take the pipes off the boost solenoid though, if it's a 2port just disconnect the electrical connector on it. If it's a 3port then just run a line direct from the turbo to the wastegate and keep a 3rd eye on your boost gauge.
I need to change DP and centre section which will take some time so instead paying someone to do it I can do it myself, it's still 2 port boost solenoid so I'll unplug as you said, 3 port is waiting to be fitted
Also is it ok to put standard air box with panel filter instead of induction kit of I'll be going off the boost with decat on or leave it and swap it at mapper?

The Decat is the danger, obvious really as you cannot flow in what you cannot flow out, and induction kits are not going to influence flow much at all in the lower rev ranges, and as you will be driving mostly off boost (we hope) the effect of the induction kit will be almost irrelevant.
Add to the fact that standard one does a pretty good job until you start generating big HP. ( 350hp before Id change it on a 2.0 ),
so if you are going to Map for the Decat if might as well be on first.
Cheers, I asked mapper if it's ok to drive to his place with decat so just waiting also for his reply, but I assume he will advice same as you that I should just drive off the boost, but if changing to the standard air box won't cause more harm then decat I'll fit that aswell and I'll just leave 3 port boost solenoid to fit by mapper.
Got back message from Andrew Carr that I'll be ok to drive to his place with decat, just can't drive hard :P
