Default Looking for more information regarding the JDM 2005 STi(Blob's)

Hi guys,

I have a 2005 Blob STi: https://www.scoobynet.com/members-ga...a-wrx-sti.html

I am wanting to get a full JDM parts for my car, as Japan got all the cool stuff, and I want a few of those parts.

I would like to know what JDM parts did they that we didnt?

Apparently we have the ADM models here in South Africa.

What I know the JDM models got, specifically with my model:
-Rear window wiper
-Xenon headlights
-Twinscroll turbo
-Quicker steering rack
-Strut brace

I researched a bit and found these parts, did the JDM models come with this?
http://www.fastwrx.com/collections/m...mpreza-wrx-sti
http://www.fastwrx.com/collections/f...07-wrx-and-sti
http://www.fastwrx.com/collections/f...ce-02-07-sedan
http://www.fastwrx.com/products/spt-boost-gauge

What about the carperts, and interior? What else did they get compared to us?

Any more info will be greatly appreciated.

I have one, but unfortunately can't open your links in work.

From your list above, you are missing:

Automatic intercooler water spray
Equal length exhaust manifold and twin up pipe (and shorter sump so they fit)
More aggressive cams (8k rpm redline too)

If I can remember anything else from the top of my head I will post haha!

Electric folding mirrons, an auto IC spray button. The interior centre panel where all of the switches can be found is also the same as on the Hawkeyes. The speedo cluster is orange and sweeps on start up too!

Other than that, it's pretty similar to my previous UK spec car!

My interior looks as follows.

How do your matts look? Do you have a red hazard button?

Auto IC button - how does that work?

My cluster is red... not orange. Mine sweeps on start up?

I have aftermarket blue STI mats in mine, so not sure on OEM ones.

Honestly can't tell you about the hazard button, I can't remember! I will check when I go home tonight though!

Auto IC button - either on or off, automatically sprays the IC with water when you go above 4k rpm.

My cluster looks identical to yours

Awesome thanks bud

Its quite interesting how the different models all over the globe differ slightly.

Does anyone know if the STi's had the option of mudflaps?
