Default Fuel pump upgrade on Spec C, help needed.

Hi guys, I was trying to change my fuel pump for upgraded ine from Scoobyworx, but I failed as I was trying to follow guides which are saying that I should disconnect the white plug and let the engine idle to burn the fuel from the lines but as soon as I dosconnect it engine died and there's still a lot of fuel in the lines as when I took them off fuel was pissing, I suspect that it's because spec c has anti surge fuel pump? Am I right here? If so how to relase the pressure from the lines?
Also in both guides it says that there are 3 lines and electrical connector, I my case there are two lines and connector.
Can anyone please give some advice?
Thanks

There will only be a bit fuel spilt just soak it up with a rag, the anti surge trap has nothing to do with it as its just a box at end of pump, some tanks have 3 some 2 just unclip the plug and remove the fuel lines then remove the bolts holding the pump housing in, if it come with a new sock id not bother using it and just reuse the one off the old pump the if its in good condition as mine would not fit correcty on my spec c
