Default timing belt kit and head gasket set

hi folks, could anybody recommend a decent timing belt kit and head gasket set, im rebuilding engine as standard spec due to head gasket failure..

if anybody maybe has these and perhaps havnt used them i would be willing to buy them..

What year car, mileage etc?

If your oil is contaminated, might be worth checking the big ends while you have the engine out as they get trashed quickly if there's water in the oil. With the heads off, it's worth considering as it's not a lot of extra work.

hi guys, its my 1999 classic shape impreza turbo, basically the needle went up as it does, once i stopped there was steam, didnt get a big roasting and was recovered to home, i think the paper type gasket has just perished through time..

99 car should have steel factory fitted gaskets so if they are the composite type then someone else has already messed with the engine..........

we carry all belt kits, seals, gaskets, etc. on the shelf

thanks for reply, the engine on my car has never given trouble since new, my mechanic will be removing engine next week, its still totally original and i was just having a guess as to why head gasket failed, i will give you guys a call.. paul

we are a (very busy) traditional based company mainly and hence the website is a little out of date as we get inundated with engine building / engineering as well as brake/chassis component supply..............

simply call or email the office direct and we'll happily sort required parts for you

sorry, the engine is now stripped, it does have the steel head gaskets, im going to replace valve stem oil seals and camshaft seals, all help and info apprecaited..
