Default Is this the wrong RARB fitted. New car

Hi all. New on here.

Recently bought a 03 blob sti PPP. Has a few minor mods.

One of which being a whiteline rear arb.

Had it up on the ramp and noticed it was rubbing on the exhaust and one drop link. So I put the drop links on the other side of the bar but there still sitting at an angle and would rub on any thing but the softest setting.

I'm starting to think that this bar might be for a wide track.

Both drop links sit to the right of the bar ( I would expect one either side )

Here's some pics

It looked a lot worse when the links where both on the left. It no longer rubs on the exhaust.

There's definately something wrong there.
Maybe the ARB is for a widetrack model.

Certainly looks like it's about an inch to wide for bit drop links to sit 'outside the bar'

Must have been like this for a good few years :/

Got the same bar fitted to my classic , but both links fitted to inside of bar and the drop links are at an angle when viewed from behind. There was a similar post, i think, a while ago . Seems to be a common thing

Looking at the pivot points the bar needs centralising and the RH drop link moved to the inside.

It could also do with the whiteline lateral locks being fitted to stop it moving sideways

The links would be on a mad angle if I had them both on the inside, but I'll get it on the ramp and give it a go in the morning.

I'll make some clamps aswell, I'm a machinist by trade, did think it was Odd that there wasn't any.

Cheers for te advice guys.

Thats the way they lie. As i mentioned earlier, theres been a few threads about this exact problem and ,offhand, i dont think there was a solution then . I can recollect the use of whitelines drop links but i dont think it made much impact on the angle .
