Default Intercooler Upgrade?

I want an upgrade for MY98 V4 UK turbo, but would rather keep to a TMIC rather than a FMIC
What would be a suitable upgrade?

Iv tried to fit a Bugeye WRX on but idle valve in way

Ive always upgraded mine to a jdm sti intercooler.. straight swap and will do you up to 340hp no problem. Same size but a much better core. I have one on my PPP uk turbo at the moment, the y pipe is also alot less restrictive on the sti item and less likely to fail too due to better materials used. I have also done a bonnet undertray mod so it actually seals against the cooler so the air has to flow through it rather then around it aswell. Hope that helps. Aaron.

Lol you and me are in the same boat bud. I have bought a full kit with a dv pipe that avoids the idle valve. But its been abit of a fuss, so decided to try another type if your interested i have full kit forsale.
