Default Exhaust gaskets?

Hi all,

This could be a very silly question. I've just bought a 3'' turbo back exhaust for my 2004 blob wrx. I need some new gaskets and was just wondering, will genuine parts be ok? As the original is 2.5''?

Thanks
Jack

Also do you need a cone ring gasket to join the downpipe to the centre section? The exhaust came with part of a regular gasket in this place so I assumed that's all it needs?

Is the flange on your new 3" system where it will meet the cat flat fixed or flared end with loose connection flange?
