Air con rattle
Hi all!!
Have followed the site for a while but not really dived in with many posts. Having been an Alfa owner i have my fair share of owners sites and trawling for q&a's to constant moans and groans from the car.
That said i would be grateful for a little help on a couple of threads i am going to start.
This one is for i believe air-con.
I have a 2002 wrx wagon and as i was going to put some family miles on it last week i decided to get the air-con checked and cleaned/filled. 500 miles later and cold air-con was great. This morning however the noise has been crap. There has been a squeeky rattle that seems to be coming from the compressor. Air-con is still cold. The rattle is there whether the air-con is on or off, full speed or otherwise. Am i looking at a failed bearing?? have had the car 2 years or more and never really used the air-con so me thinks i just over did it? My question is i guess to give me guidance on what to check if it is repairable or how to replace.
thanks in advance.
Neil
