Default Immobiliser interference

Out of nowhere my 2005 Impreza wouldn't start when I came to leave the supermarket. To cut a long story short , had it thoroughly checked out and wouldn't happen at garage!
Today out again stopped twice and the second time the car wouldn't start. By the time the garage got to it - 40 mins later it started.
Anyone any ideas?

On a classic there is a black connecting block for fuel pump under the rear seats which is prone to short out,not sure about the newage tho? Might be worth a look,easy one to check.
